Q&A with LaSonya Abdallah

  1. 1. Tell us a bit about you and your practice.

I'm LaSonya Abdallah, also known as The Goddess Key. I'm a spiritual coach, oracle guide, intuitive mentor, and creator of the Inner Codes Oracle System.

My work focuses on helping people explore the deeper patterns operating within their subconscious mind. Through oracle guidance, intuitive insight, spiritual coaching, and self-reflection practices, I help people uncover hidden beliefs, emotional patterns, and inner narratives that may be influencing their lives.

Rather than focusing on prediction, I use divination as a tool for self-awareness, empowerment, and personal transformation. My goal is to help people reconnect with their inner wisdom, strengthen their intuition, and develop a deeper relationship with themselves.

  2. 2. What moment or realization made astrology and/or tarot “click” for you in a real, lived way?

For me, astrology and tarot truly clicked when I began studying my own natal chart and working closely with a Yoruba chief and priestess who introduced me to various divination systems and spiritual traditions.

As I immersed myself in books, teachings, and personal practice, I began to recognize that many spiritual systems are ultimately pointing toward the same universal truths. While they may use different symbols, languages, and frameworks, they all offer ways of understanding ourselves, our life experiences, and our connection to something greater than ourselves.

What resonated most deeply was realizing that these systems are, in many ways, teaching us the language of the universe and the subconscious mind. They provide a symbolic framework that helps bring hidden patterns, inner wisdom, and deeper self-awareness into conscious view. That realization transformed these tools from something interesting to study into powerful instruments for personal growth, reflection, and spiritual understanding.

  3. 3. What’s something most people misunderstand about astrology and/or tarot that you’re always gently correcting?

The misunderstandings usually fall into two extremes: either people are taught to believe these tools are inherently "evil," or they dismiss them as superficial, horoscope myths that don't ring true because they are only focusing on their Sun sign. They miss the reality that astrology is deeply rooted in science, geometry, and cosmic cycles.

But the biggest misconception is that divination is about giving your power away to a card, a reader, or a prediction. I see oracle work strictly as a tool for reflection and awareness. The cards don't control your future, and they never replace your intuition; instead, they simply illuminate what is already present beneath the surface. The most meaningful readings aren't about telling someone what will happen. They are about helping someone understand themselves more deeply so they can make conscious choices and reclaim their personal authority moving forward.

  4. 4. Tell us your thoughts on the astrology of 2026 and how it’s likely showing up in people’s everyday lives right now.

How this energy shows up in everyday life can be hard to measure on a grand scale, because most people aren't constantly tracking the transits or analyzing their lives through an astrological lens. However, there is a tangible collective shift happening. Because people have become far more aware of astrology over the last few years, they are actively looking for deeper alignment. They aren't just looking for casual predictions anymore; they are seeking out readings for true guidance, using these tools to make much wiser, more conscious choices in their day-to-day lives.

On a personal level, I am watching these major planetary shifts unfold right in my own backyard.

Uranus in Gemini: This erratic, electrifying energy is playing out vividly in my personal environment right now, as it transits my Fourth House of home, family roots, and foundational security. It is bringing a sense of rapid evolution and reinvention to how I define my space and my roots.

Saturn and Neptune in Aries: We are at a massive cosmic threshold with these two outer planets meeting at the very beginning of the zodiac wheel. Right now, the collective work is simply about being the observer watching this raw, visionary fire energy unfold and seeing how it begins to restructure our reality from the ground up.

  5. 5. What’s a recurring life theme you see in your readings right now (love, career pivots, endings, rebirth, boundaries), and how do you help people work with it instead of resisting it?

In the readings and energetic containers I facilitate on Insight Timer and in my practiced, I am seeing a heavy convergence of themes around deep family issues, health struggles, and massive life transitions. In particular, I am sitting with a lot of women who are navigating the profound physical and psychological threshold of menopause.

There is a collective unmasking happening. Women are looking at the masks they have worn for decades, masks created by societal conditioning, family expectations, and structures that were never built to serve them, and they are realizing that none of it is truly who they are. They are waking up to the fact that what they were made to believe about how life "should" be is an illusion, and they are seeking the answers on how to make a radical, foundational shift.

It is a sacred season of death and rebirth.

To help people work with this energy instead of resisting it, I guide them straight into the subconscious. This is where shadow work becomes essential. I help them look beneath the surface to dismantle the old programming, honor the grief of what is ending, and hold space for the raw transformation. We don't try to fix it overnight; we pull back the layers to uncover the authentic self that has been waiting under the mask all along.

  6. 6. When someone comes to you feeling stuck, what part of the chart do you look at first and why? If you do tarot or another practice, tell us about your process for this.

My initial process relies on the integration of my Inner Codes Arcana system alongside the natal chart to evaluate the client's current energetic landscape. I utilize the natal chart to gain an immediate understanding of their planetary distribution and Rising sign, focusing on their natal Saturn and Pluto placements as well as the current transiting Saturn and Pluto positions, noting any planets that may be squaring these areas. This allows me to identify exactly where structural resistance and active, real-time evolutionary pressures are creating internal friction.

However, the chart serves primarily as foundational context. The core of my practice is centered on my Inner Codes Arcana system, which allows me to move beyond analytical overthinking and interface directly with the subconscious mind. By uncovering the precise emotional frequencies and hidden patterns a person is holding, we are able to effectively dissolve stagnation and initiate a true energetic breakthrough.

  7. 7. When someone is trying to understand their love life more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

When clients seek answers about love or relationships, they are often consumed with the external dynamic: Does this person love me? Will they come back? My approach is entirely different from traditional relationship readings because I redirect the focus away from the external partner and place it squarely on the individual. Most relationship issues are fundamentally reflections of how a person feels about themselves. We routinely seek validation outside of our own vessels instead of cultivating and honoring the love within.

To map this energetically, I examine the Seventh House, the planetary ruler of that house, and the Rising sign to see how those placements are interacting. If a client is married and navigating marital discord, we certainly look at these placements to see what structural issues can be overcome. However, the true diagnostic work lies in the shadow work that needs to be done within the individual.

This is where my practice shifts from passive divination into one-on-one spiritual mentorship and coaching. By combining the baseline layout of their chart with my cards and oracle systems, we pull back the projection and address the root internal patterns. We focus on healing the subconscious blocks, dismantling self-sabotaging behaviors, and restoring self-worth so they can navigate their relationship from a place of wholeness rather than lack.

  8. 8. When someone is trying to understand their career life or work/ purpose more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

When evaluating career and purpose, I look at the Tenth House of career and legacy, alongside the Rising sign and the planetary dynamics influencing it. However, the foundational inquiry always begins with a deceptively simple question: What do you actually love to do, and what did you dream of doing as a child?

We enter this world as open, divinely purposeful vessels. At five or six years old, we often inherently know our true orientation and what brings us joy. Over time, however, society reshapes, conditions, and completely reprograms us to fit into conventional boxes. My initial step is to bypass that conditioning and ask clients to remember their earliest passions.

While I possess specialized card systems tailored for specific professional questions, the vast majority of the souls who seek my counsel are not looking for standard corporate guidance. Instead, they are navigating a profound season of late-stage transformation and rebirth. By pairing the architectural layout of their Tenth House with intuitive card work, we begin to unpack their professional trajectory. The goal is not just finding a new job, but actively unlearning decades of societal programming to realign their daily labor with the authentic purpose they have carried since childhood.

  9. 9. What’s one small but meaningful practice or reflection you’d recommend people try based on their natal chart or reading?

I am fully dedicated to providing clients with practical, sustainable tools that allow them to strengthen their own intuition and recognize the innate power sleeping within themselves. True alignment is not achieved during a single reading; it must be actively cultivated in daily life.

First and foremost, I always guide people into a dedicated meditation practice. I offer specialized, curated meditations designed to help individuals drop out of the overactive mind, settle into their heart space, and regulate their nervous systems so they can clearly hear their organic inner knowing.

In tandem with daily meditation, I highly recommend a specific text that has served as a powerful bridge in my own evolution: Unlocking the Queen Code: Divine Keys to Reclaiming Your Throne by Molesey Crawford. It is an exceptional resource for any woman navigating a deep transition or an awakening of her sovereign feminine energy. I often guide clients through its foundational gateways, encouraging them to look honestly at what they need to radically surrender so they can stop over-functioning and confidently step into their personal authority.

  10. 10. What are your favorite decks + resources that you think people should know about?

The cornerstone of my intuitive consulting is my own proprietary system, the Inner Codes Arcana. This modality is specifically designed to work directly with the subconscious through a dedicated system of cards, music that goes with each card an energetic frequencies, and a App. Alongside my own system, my favorite external tools are The Afro Goddess Tarot Arcanas and Oracle decks by Andrea Furtick.
