Jacqueline – Muse of Whimsy
Based in Brooklyn, NY
Eclectic witch specializing in helping others tap into their intuition through tarot and astrology with curiosity and whimsy.
About Me
Jacqueline, owner of Muse of Whimsy is a whimsical human that is living in the Brooklyn area, practicing eclectic witchcraft officially for several years. From a young age she had been interested in magic and had a huge imagination; getting into trouble for reading fantasy novels under her desk in school and constantly dreaming about her own ambitions. Little did she know her active imagination would come in handy now, both in her career as a performer and within her own spiritual practice. Thinking out of the box and using her intuition are two ways that magic helps her everyday in her journey, and now she is offering what she's learned along the way to help others carve their own path.
She specializes in helping others tap into their intuition, through tools like tarot and astrology, using curiosity and whimsy.
Jacqueline offers tarot and Astrology readings online and through events in person.
Her train of thought is that the cards / cosmos tell us where our path currently lies, and the options we might have going forward. It's similar to holding up a mirror to your psyche and once our reflection is illuminated, we can find a new perspective. We have the opportunity to change that at any time, as we are in charge of our destiny. We can use tarot as a way to connect with our shadow and higher selves respectively, and channel messages directly from source. If you resonate with any of this, then we might be a good fit to book a reading together!

Q&A with Jacqueline – Muse of Whimsy
1. Tell us a bit about you and your practice.
Hi Lora community! Super excited to introduce myself as Jacqueline owner of Muse Of Whimsy (which is officially an LLC as of 2026 ✨), and a spiritual practitioner for both Tarot and Astrology on Lora! I also do events and mini seminars on ritual practice, tarot and astrology 101. 💜
My spirituality journey has been offline until recently, and I’m glad to finally open up those doors for others to see into my personal practice. I felt very connected to the divine from a young age, I just didn’t realize it was calling me to witchcraft or helping others through spirituality - growing up catholic, I now love to help others weave their own path, as there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to discover what you are called to, energetically / spiritually. I feel a lot more aligned when practicing in truth and authenticity, even if it means wading through the uncomfortable bits of healing or transmuting & teaching others about their own power.
2. What moment or realization made astrology and/or tarot “click” for you in a real, lived way?
I was interested in tarot from a cultural standpoint when I first got my deck randomly at an urban outfitters, almost 9 years ago. When I started to read my cards and introduce myself to this part of witchcraft / divination, I had a moment where I was like “oh… this isn’t just a ‘trendy’ thing anymore, this is more than me being agnostic” - from there I became immersed in researching, learning all that I could about divination tools, and through that came astrology and learning about witchcraft.
When I listened to Margot Adler’s Drawing Down the Moon for the first time on audiobook, a quote from the preface made me cry: “Since Pagans are a very diverse group, it is wrong to say all Pagans believe this or that, but here are some beliefs that many people in this book share: The world is holy. Nature is holy. The body is holy. Sexuality is holy. The imagination is holy. Divinity is immanent in nature; it is within you as well as without. Most spiritual paths ultimately lead people to the understanding of their own connection to the divine. While human beings are often cut off from experiencing the deep and ever-present connection between themselves and the universe, that connection can often be regained through ceremony and community. The energy you put out into the world comes back.” Because in my life, I’d never felt so seen in my spirituality than in that moment.
Since then, I’ve been growing, learning as a student and now finally teaching others how to find that sense of home within themselves. ✨
3. What’s something most people misunderstand about astrology and/or tarot that you’re always gently correcting?
I view divination as a mirror, and not a prediction. Sometimes that can be hard for individuals to grasp, especially when something can resonate so clearly in a reading. But just because I pointed something out that you hadn’t seen before doesn’t mean it wasn’t there prior to our session, it just means that I’m bringing another set of eyes to the table.
Additionally, truths are really hard to grasp sometimes, and tarot doesn’t love to give “yes” or “no” answers to questions (usually). A good example of this that I give in readings is: You might want to find your soulmate - great! But asking where / what time you’re going to meet them, is going to have the deck turn that question back around at you. It might say, ”Are you ready to meet your soulmate right now? What do you still have to work on in order to be vulnerable with your potential other half?”
4. Tell us your thoughts on the astrology of 2026 and how it’s likely showing up in people’s everyday lives right now.
Personally, I think 2026 is the year that starting long-term incremental change, is necessary. You might currently feel burnt out, or not vibing with your current coping mechanisms / habits. I also feel as a collective, we are seeing changes in the way that we view authority figures and systems that no longer work for us. “Where can you prioritize living your truth?” Is a big question for us this year - both individually, and collectively. We’re being called to lean into the initiation of authentic action in your community. Not everything, everywhere, all at once, but rather: one foot in front of the other, thoughtfully.
5. What’s a recurring life theme you see in your readings right now (love, career pivots, endings, rebirth, boundaries), and how do you help people work with it instead of resisting it?
One theme I’m seeing recently both in my own life and others is “you are more powerful than you give yourself credit for”‼️
Sometimes, especially within the times we live in, we can feel hopeless or lost. These are definitely normal feelings, as there’s a TON that’s going on. Both within the world physically and through the cosmos. But narratives take time to shift. Feeling like you are hopeless when you have tools at your disposal that weren’t there before as we grow, we realize our old coping mechanisms don’t work anymore. As we feel that, we also don’t know which way to turn, which can create a stuck loop / decision paralysis when trying to move in a new chapter.
I’ve been there many times! So nothing to be ashamed of - I love to help others see that they not only have choices, but that life can be full of things that you actually enjoy doing / add a bit of whimsy in your healing journey.
6. When someone comes to you feeling stuck, what part of the chart do you look at first and why? If you do tarot or another practice, tell us about your process for this.
If this is for tarot - I ask a little bit about why they might be feeling stagnant, and then I usually end up asking the deck about action items that can help with situation. Some of my decks have affirmations and / or shadow work prompts that can be really helpful in finding the root of what is bothering you, instead of surface level frustrations. A lot of the time, our initial emotions are so big we don’t see the underlying fear beneath them.
With Astrology, I usually see where the squares are in their chart and go from there (especially in transit readings). Squares help us see what lessons are making us pause or frustrated.
In Natal charts, if something is squaring or opposing Lilith or Chiron, then I ask about those areas of life and see if that resonates. Lilith and Chiron are where you can pinpoint your areas of potential power and growth, and wounds that might have happened in your past.
7. When someone is trying to understand their love life more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?
In Astrology, it’s easy to see what might be in their 5th house or where Venus might be in their chart. That being said, I also like to look at the first house when talking about love life. It’s important for people to know how their ego might show up in relationships, and / or if they feel insecure about themselves. They might need to work on defining their own sense of self, or simmering down that ego (Leo rising here, so me lol) in order to find a stable life partner. Also the third house, or finding mercury in their chart, is going to be helpful information in order to see how your communication style fits with your partner’s - current or future.
8. When someone is trying to understand their career life or work/ purpose more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?
When someone is looking for purpose, whether it’s in career or not, I think it’s important to know where their inspiration / motivation is first. In tarot, the deck can tell you how to stay financially stable, but It’s not going to tell you to stay in a career long-term if it’s taxing emotionally, physically, or spiritually.
Finding your life purpose is such a huge question - we might be spending 90% of what we do on earth trying to figure it out. The Universe (or insert whatever higher power you believe in here) knows that, so usually when we ask tarot these types of questions, It instead tells us to look inward - where can you meet your highest self now, without completely disrupting the current life you lead? Or, how can we break the toxic cycle that is harming us? These reality checks are tough, but needed to initiate the change we want to achieve our dream life.
9. What’s one small but meaningful practice or reflection you’d recommend people try based on their natal chart or reading?
Usually I recommend doing some form of shadow work - whether this is therapy, journaling, or meditation - getting to know the real you, below the ego and the person we became in order to survive hardships, is someone who is waiting for their chance to shine. It’s never a waste of time getting to know the purest version of yourself.
10. What are your favorite decks + resources that you think people should know about?
Some Resources That I Use As A Witch include:
https://lightseerstarot.com - Their tarot guide book comes in a big format, a Downloadable format when you buy a deck and it’s super helpful to see both reversals and upright meanings if you’re looking to incorporate that into your tarot practice, or just need a refresher on the card’s meanings.
https://teaandrosemary.com/ - As a baby witch, I DEVOURED all of these blog articles, and I’m currently a part of Alex’s Shadow Society subscription - She’s super knowledgeable on ritual witchcraft, and has a huge database on spells, Deity work, and a forum of witches to bounce ideas off of, If that sounds like your thing :)
Astro-seek.com was my introduction to astrology charts, so obviously I have to include this. While you’re waiting for Lora’s new app (which should be soon!), I highly recommend this software for looking up anything that has to do with your chart. It’s really easy to find information that might not correlate with your sign on the internet, so I can vouch for this as a credible source.
Books that I’ve read and love:
Rebel Witch, By Kelly-Ann Maddox. If you’re anything like me, and maybe have some previous religious trauma or negative experiences with your personal spirituality path, PLEASE read or listen to this book ASAP! There’s no “right way” to do witchcraft, and it was so liberating / inspiring to hear someone else’s perspective on how they practice.
Self Care by the Moon, By Valerie Tejeda. If you’ve been obsessed with the moon since you were a little kid, and want to learn useful correspondences related to the moon cycles, highly recommend!
Hekate, by Courtney Weber. Mother of witches, queen of the crossroads, and lover of the outcasts. Even if you aren’t a devotee of this Dark Primordial Goddess, hearing the lore and mythology behind Hekate’s story is a must for those interested in divination, astrology, or any other “witchy” aspect of spirituality.
This is by no means a comprehensive list! And to be honest, one thing that I recommend before anything else is doing your own research! Reddit has so many rabbit holes. It’s sometimes hard to find verified sources, but go to your local library and ask if you’re interested in specific mythology! See what others source in their books. Get curious. Have fun with it ✨🫶🏻
