Q&A with Cupid Astrology

  1. 1. Tell us a bit about you and your practice.

I started my studies in Western/Tropical Astrology in Summer of 2017, just before I started my Senior year in Highschool. I came across as birth chart discussion on social media, and I allowed myself to become curious with what it was all about. From there, I threw myself into Natal Astrology, and started build a journal with everything that pertained to Western Astrology, Tarot, and Historical Astrology.

  2. 2. What moment or realization made astrology and/or tarot “click” for you in a real, lived way?

It was really when I found myself leaning into it through books, and online blogs. I really enjoy reading, so all this knowledge really awakened a newfound interest very strongly. I just wanted to understand more, and since I'm someone that loves topics of magic, fantasy, and creativity, I felt that you can do so much with the study that benefits you personally.

  3. 3. What’s something most people misunderstand about astrology and/or tarot that you’re always gently correcting?

It's not just a horoscope, and not every astrologer knows what they're saying in an interpretation. This goes for Tarot as well; it is not to tell you what you must do, but what you may feel guided to do. Tarot, Oracle, Astrology; these are all subjects that can help, can guide, can influence, but it will not make you do anything. You have the power of your own will at the end of the day.

  4. 4. Tell us your thoughts on the astrology of 2026 and how it’s likely showing up in people’s everyday lives right now.

2026 points more towards needing stability, and having more opportunities to voice those matters. People this year will be focusing more on how they can gain power and substance in their personal lives, rather than trying to look towards the world of pop culture and social media as a form of escapism. 2026 is about really putting your feet into the ground because you must do it, for the sake of your family and foundation longterm. Independence takes a brand new toll on everyone.

  5. 5. What’s a recurring life theme you see in your readings right now (love, career pivots, endings, rebirth, boundaries), and how do you help people work with it instead of resisting it?

Love is always a constant circle coming back to me in my readings, and I enjoy helping others through any situations that involve romance. A lot of people want to know who they will be with, and how to navigate any connections that are being acted upon as unrequited. In my readings, specifically the Asteroid Readings, I point out the romantic areas of who they are and help them to navigate that into their relationships.

  6. 6. When someone comes to you feeling stuck, what part of the chart do you look at first and why? If you do tarot or another practice, tell us about your process for this.

Tarot is always an amazing solution to stuck events, because it offers so many messages from the cards. It gets straight to the point, and offering a card reading like this can help people get direct answers to any issues that need an immediate resolution. As for Astrology, I like to look at the whole natal chart and dissect anything that calls out to me in order to get to a solution. It is like solving a problem, and not focusing on one space or area.

  7. 7. When someone is trying to understand their love life more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

Of course, you have Venus ︎ ♀︎ to look to when it comes to romance or love life, but it also the ability to love yourself where I look to Mars ♂︎ ♂︎, Moon ☽, and Sun ⵙ. Your confidence, your emotions, and the way you take on your day to day supports the way you manage yourself. If you're able to give to yourself then you can give to a romantic or platonic relationship.

  8. 8. When someone is trying to understand their career life or work/ purpose more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

The public side of the birth chart will call to how you manage yourself in social situations that involve career and work. Seeing the planetary focuses that go into that area of the chart (9th through 11th houses), you can see if or if not career rises and progresses quickly.

  9. 9. What’s one small but meaningful practice or reflection you’d recommend people try based on their natal chart or reading?

You must understand yourself before trying to understand anything else; explore how expansive the birth chart is and don't be nervous to place fixed stars or asteroids in there. The birth chart is a place where you can turn things into reality, but also where you can know yourself the most. It can be a great tool to help you understand how to be yourself, without becoming a follower.

  10. 10. What are your favorite decks + resources that you think people should know about?

Astro.com is a great place to get involved with everything astrology. Get into historical/classical astrology with Chris Brennan, and get involved with Tarot Decks like Barbara Walker Tarot.
