About Me

Hi, I'm Brie, spelled like the cheese. I'm an intuitive reader who works with tarot and oracle to deliver messages guided by intuition and spirit.

I started reading tarot in May 2021, and honestly, I didn't know what I was doing at first. But hundreds of readings later, the connection got stronger. The messages got clearer. Now when I read, I don't just pull cards. I see things. I hear words and phrases come through from spirit guides, sometimes visually, sometimes just as knowing. My work isn't about predictions or telling you what's going to happen. It's about helping you understand yourself, your emotions, and whatever season you're in right now.

I primarily read with the Neoteric Feminine Tarot Deck. I'm deeply connected to it, not just for the artwork and symbolism, but for the way it flows when messages need to come through. I also work with oracle decks I've created myself, all centered around emotional insight and intuitive reflection. My favorite is the Feel Your Feelings deck. It focuses on emotions in a way that lets me go deeper, layer by layer, into what you're actually feeling underneath everything else.

Each reading blends tarot, oracle, and channeled insight to reflect what's happening beneath the surface, the stuff that's hard to name on your own. People usually find me during transitions, healing, or moments when they're trying to figure out where they are. My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to offer clarity and perspective so you can move forward with more trust in yourself and your own intuition.

This work is sacred to me. It's not me handing you answers, it's us, together, helping you remember what you already know.

I'm here for that. For you.

Q&A with Brie Southward

  1. 1. Tell us a bit about you and your practice.

I'm Brie, an intuitive tarot reader and founder of Stella Nova. I came to this work in May 2021 in the middle of a controlled demolition of my life. I was navigating a profound ego death, going no contact with my parents, and rebuilding myself from the ground up. I wasn't looking for a career. I was looking for a way to hear myself again, and once I found it I couldn't unfind it.

Tarot is my primary tool but my clairsentience leads. I trust what I feel in a reading more than what I think, which is what allows me to move past the surface and get to what is actually going on. I also weave in astrology because for me it functions like a cheat code to understanding people at their depths, the patterns, the wounds, the timing. I am still deepening that study and bring it in as a supportive lens rather than a rigid framework. I guide from scar tissue, not theory, and I think that makes all the difference.

  2. 2. What moment or realization made astrology and/or tarot “click” for you in a real, lived way?

Tarot clicked during my first year when I started doing readings for myself and the people closest to me. There was a moment in that process where something just landed. I had found something solid, a real tool for depth and healing and understanding that I had never had access to before. Not just for myself but something I could genuinely offer others. That feeling has never left.

What cemented it was realizing the cards are a guide, not a verdict. They are not telling you what is going to happen. They are showing you what is already present, what is being avoided, what is ready to move. That distinction changed everything for me and it is still the foundation of how I read today.

  3. 3. What’s something most people misunderstand about astrology and/or tarot that you’re always gently correcting?

Most people come in believing tarot predicts the future or that astrology has already decided who they are. I understand why that framing is everywhere. But what I find myself returning to again and again is that both are tools for awareness, not verdicts. Tarot shows where your energy is right now. Astrology shows your wiring, your cycles, your recurring lessons.

Neither removes your agency. When used well they give it back to you. The goal of a good reading is not that you leave needing more readings. It is that you leave trusting yourself a little more than you did when you walked in.

  4. 4. Tell us your thoughts on the astrology of 2026 and how it’s likely showing up in people’s everyday lives right now.

What I keep seeing in 2026 is a deep hunger for real community. Not the performance of it, not the curated version people post about, but actual people who show up, tell the truth, and hold space without an agenda. The energy this year is pulling people away from masks and toward something more exposed and more sustainable. People are tired of being seen as a version of themselves. They want to be known as themselves.

On an everyday level this is showing up as people becoming more selective, more intentional, and in some cases more willing to walk away from connections that require them to shrink or pretend. The shift I see is toward communities built on genuine resonance rather than proximity or habit. When you stop performing who you are, you make it possible for the right people to actually find you.

  5. 5. What’s a recurring life theme you see in your readings right now (love, career pivots, endings, rebirth, boundaries), and how do you help people work with it instead of resisting it?

The theme I keep coming back to is transition and integration. Most people move through the hard part of a transition but skip the integration entirely and wonder why they keep ending up back where they started. The shift available right now is different. It is an invitation to finally lock in, to bring all the scattered pieces of yourself into one coherent direction instead of carrying them in separate hands and dropping them constantly.

What I help people do is slow down enough to actually absorb what they have been through before reaching for the next thing. Transformation is not just about what you leave behind. It is about what you are willing to carry forward consciously. This is the work that makes change permanent instead of just temporary relief.

  6. 6. When someone comes to you feeling stuck, what part of the chart do you look at first and why? If you do tarot or another practice, tell us about your process for this.

When someone feels stuck I look at Saturn first. Saturn shows where we are being asked to mature, where we have been avoiding responsibility, or where we are overdue for a structure that actually serves us. I also look at transits to the Moon and personal planets because stuck rarely lives only in the mind. It almost always has an emotional root that has not been fully acknowledged.

In tarot I start with a spread that maps the current energy, the core block, and the next aligned step. I am less focused on predicting outcomes and more focused on finding the belief or fear keeping someone frozen. In my experience stuck almost always means there is a decision waiting to be owned, one the person already knows the answer to and is not quite ready to say out loud.

  7. 7. When someone is trying to understand their love life more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

I follow what I feel from the cards and what comes forward intuitively, but before anything else I am asking the most honest question available: are you being truthful with yourself about what you actually feel and what you know you should do? Not what is comfortable, not what is familiar, but what is true. That is where most love readings have to start because without that honesty everything else is just noise.

Self love is not a side note in my love readings. It is the foundation. You cannot go deeper with someone else than you are willing to go with yourself. I pull that thread in every single reading because in my experience it is almost always at the root of what feels broken or stuck. The relationship with yourself sets the ceiling for every other one.

  8. 8. When someone is trying to understand their career life or work/ purpose more deeply, where do you guide them to look first? What parts of the chart, energy, or inner patterns tend to reveal the most?

I want to know what ignites your soul. Not what pays well, not what looks impressive, but what genuinely brings you joy when you are doing it. That is the thread I follow. The cards give me a path to understand it and my intuition gives me clarity on what that means specifically for you, but the real question is always whether you are giving that thing any room to exist in your life at all.

If it cannot be your livelihood right now that does not mean it gets abandoned. It means we look at how to expand it through hobbies, side work, or community until it has enough room to grow into something more. Purpose is not always a dramatic pivot. Sometimes it starts as the thing you protect time for even when everything else is pulling at you.

  9. 9. What’s one small but meaningful practice or reflection you’d recommend people try based on their natal chart or reading?

The practice I come back to most is getting what is inside you out of you daily, in whatever form works. Journaling, voice notes, even a private vlog just for yourself. When you let things linger unspoken inside your own mind they build pressure, and that pressure shows up as anxiety, as stagnation, as the low hum of depression that has no obvious source. Moving your mind is just as necessary as moving your body.

Starting your day with a brain dump, even ten minutes of releasing whatever is sitting on you, clears the path forward instead of carrying yesterday's weight into today. You cannot think clearly through a cluttered mind. This is not about productivity. It is about giving yourself enough internal space to actually hear what you need.

  10. 10. What are your favorite decks + resources that you think people should know about?

I work frequently with the Neoteric Feminine Tarot because of its emotional expressiveness and the way it invites interpretation rather than dictating it. I also use oracle decks I have created myself, built around emotional language and shadow themes, because I wanted tools that matched the depth of the conversations I was already having.

For astrology my honest recommendation is always to go deeper rather than wider. Sitting with your own natal chart over time and watching it play out in your actual life is more transformative than any amount of daily horoscope content. The chart is not something you learn once. It is something you grow into.
